Accessibility at DTX Manchester
At DTX accessibility is important — helping to provide an enjoyable event for everyone. We aim to make all events as accessible and as inclusive as possible. If you cannot find the information you need on this page or on our website, please let us know.
Entrance
Manchester Central entrances are fully ramped and accessible. Once inside, events on the first floor can be accessed via stairs or lifts. The entrances are fully accessible and the foyer entrances are sensor-activated.
Wheelchairs
The venue has a lot of room for wheelchairs and have some self-propelled wheelchairs available for use within the venue. To enquire, contact the First Aid department on +44 (0)161 834 2700 ext. 2211 or email

Induction loops
We have Induction Loop facilities in Central and Charter Foyers as well as Exchange Auditorium.
A Deaf Alerter® fire warning system has been installed throughout the entire venue, compatible with Deaf Alerter® pagers which operate nationally and internationally.
We have a limited number of site specific Alerters available from our concierge desk.
Additionally, some theatres have silent headsets at hand.
Parking
The venue can be easily accessed by public transport or by car. There is parking beneath the venue (provided by the NCP) including 15 disabled spaces on the Upper Level of the Car Park, with lift access to the venue. Blue badge parking is also available near the venue on Mount Street.
Toilets
We have accessible toilets in each of the main event spaces across the venue. These facilities include emergency pull cords.
We also have a Changing Places Toilet which can be accessed via Central Foyer.
To access the toilets, you will need a Radar Key which can be collected from our concierge desks.
Prayer Room/Family Room
The venue room behind the venue desk can be used as a Prayer Room or Family Room.
